We stand at the opening of the Global Frontier. The vast horizon that lies before us is one of hope and foreboding.

Humanity is always on the frontier. A frontier of understanding and of action. A frontier of extinction and survival. A frontier of great joys and tragedies.

At certain points in world history the boundary of that frontier is more easily seen. We are at that vista now. There will be one global
society. What face it will take is the first question. Will it have a face where multicultural-democracy is championed? Will it recognize
regional prerogatives? Will it value native cultures? Or will it seek to make us all the same?
